Rhino Review

Launched in 2021, Rhino is a relatively new name in the online gambling and betting industry. Owned and operated by an England-based company, Playbook Gaming Ltd, which trades as Playbook Engineering Ltd, Rhino is a safe platform. It is licensed by the Gambling Commission and promotes responsible gambling through affiliations with Gamstop and BeGambleAware. Rhino offers an enticing sportsbook and a casino section, so players who fancy both these pastimes can find everything they want on a single platform. Since Rhino is still a newcomer compared to other names in the bookmakers’ field, let’s see how it stacks up.

Welcome Bonus

The welcome offer this bookie provides is not the most appealing, but it’s certainly better than nothing. You’ll get £10 as a free bet after signing up. However, to qualify, you must wager at least £25. The initial bet must be placed within 24 hours of signing up. You’re free to place the initial bet on any selection and the minimum odds must be evens (2.0).

Available Markets

Rhino has a rich sportsbook you’ll find in the menu bar on the left side of the homepage. At first glance, it seems to include over 20 sports. All the popular options you can find at any reliable bookie are present: football, horse racing, greyhound racing, basketball, baseball, cricket, tennis, motor sports, rugby, darts, boxing, golf, American football, Formula One, mixed martial arts, and more. Virtual football, horse racing, greyhound racing, and car racing are also available.

Rhino offers price boosts to help punters maximize their winnings. These are available for some of the most popular sports such as football, tennis, basketball, or golf. You’ll find these options in the Specials tab on the main page. Moreover, in the EPL Stats section, you’ll find loads of match statistics that can also help you boost your chances of winning when wagering.

In terms of popularity, football seems to be the highlight of this platform. It has a dedicated section where you’ll find the available events neatly ordered into different tabs: Today, Tomorrow, UK List, European Elite, and Rest of World. You can choose from a wide range of bet types including outrights, specials, match results, both teams to score, over/under, first-half results, or draw no bet. All the important leagues and competitions are covered. The options range from UEFA League events and Premier League matches to local competitions. All the major European leagues are also present: Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga, Spain’s Primera Division, Portugal’s Primeira Liga, and more. There are numerous other leagues from all over the world, such as the USA Open Cup, Copa Sudamericana, China’s Super League, Egypt’s Premier League, Mexico Primera Divisio, and more.

Horse racing is another option Rhino focuses on by covering all the major events in the UK and Ireland, as well as some international competitions. Some of the options available as of writing this Rhino review include Southwell, Ayr, Yarmouth, and Kempton. In the International section, we found Horseshoe Indianapolis, Fort Erie, and Mountaineer.

This platform spoils players for choice with over 10,000 pre-match events per month. When it comes to betting odds, Rhino manages to outperform some of the most established online bookies on the market. Their odds are competitive, especially for the most popular sports and big events. Niche sports, however, have average odds, which is still ok.

In-Play Betting

Rhino supports in-play betting, which is definitely a plus. There is a separate tab on the website for this feature. The In-play section is divided into two categories, Football, and All Sports. You can see the available live events on each tab and start wagering while the action takes place. Additionally, Rhino offers a handy live tracker feature enabling you to stay up-to-date with what is going on. For example, it will signal if there is a corner, a penalty, or which player has the ball. There are over 3,000 live events you can bet on each month at Rhino. However, the platform doesn’t seem to offer live streaming.

Mobile Betting

Rhino makes it easy to bet even when you’re on the go and wager at any time, before or during a sports event. The website is optimized for mobile use and the company also provides a mobile app. You’ll find it both in the App Store and on Google Play. If you wager from the Rhino app, you can access the same markets and features as in the desktop version of the website.

Promotions & Offers

When it comes to special offers, Rhino tends to be more minimalistic. There is a welcome bonus and daily prize boosts. However, other than that, Rhino doesn’t advertise any other promotions on its website. There doesn't seem to be a loyalty program either. However, the website does promise to offer customers promotions. Based on our research, these become available in the form of free bets once you sign up. Most commonly, you can expect these prizes before major sports events.

Deposit Methods

This is one of the areas where Rhino would need some improvement. Many players expect diversity in terms of payment methods and prefer using e-wallets. Unfortunately, you won’t find any of these at Rhino. However, the platform does support several traditional payment methods such as debit cards from Visa, Maestro, and Mastercard, bank transfers, and cheques. Depending on each bank, withdrawal times vary from two to five working days.

Customer Service

Although Rhino does offer an intuitive, no-frills website and a fast and user-friendly app, nothing can beat reliable customer service. Unfortunately, this bookie doesn’t provide all the customer support options other online betting websites have. There is no phone or live chat support. If you want to reach out for help, there is only an email address (customerservice@rhino.bet). Additionally, you can try to contact the team via Twitter or Facebook. There is also an FAQ section, but it is far from comprehensive compared to what we saw on other betting  platforms.

Summary

Overall, Rhino is a promising and reliable bookie, but there is room for improvement. While the sportsbook is amazing, especially when it comes to football and the odds are above the market standard for some events, there are no regular bonuses, very few payment methods, and not a lot of contact methods.
